Namaste! Rob & I are over the moon excited to share the very last wedding of the year here on the blog. It’s a gloomy, chilly day here in Northern India. The radiance of Myla & Richard’s smiles along with the dear Dominican scenery warms my heart!
These two are extraordinary. Myla & Richard met in Croatia in 2008 while supporting a multi-national medical training exercise. They were both active duty Air Force at that time. Myla chuckles, ‘He seemed arrogant and I was too busy to give him any of my attention.’ Ha! Somehow, as fate would have it, Richard ended up being her escort on a downtown shopping trip. They spent the day exploring the town, sharing ice cream … and have been inseparable ever since.
Their love is unshakable, alive, exemplary. How amazing it was to witness their intimate bond and effortless playfulness!
Myla & Richard left the most important people in their lives at home – their three GORGEOUS kids: Tristan (4), Caiden (2) and Eden (1)! As much as they were missed, it was so great for Myla & Richard to enjoy each other fully.
Their wedding day at Paradisus Palma Real resort was just what the two had imagined – unique, filled with laughter, dancing, and great food.
Dearest Myla & Richard, your attitudes on living are beautiful and inspiring… We love you guys! 🙂
Top three things Richard loves about Myla: ‘I love Myla’s sense of humor, her ability to bring out the best in others and that she is loving, but not mushy.’
Top three things Myla loves about Richard: ‘He is ridiculously corny but cute. He is extremely resourceful and always has great ideas. Most importantly, he is very very loving and thoughtful.’
‘We both love to spend time with our family, travel, and eat. It’s very difficult for us to stay rooted in one place for too long. I suppose it’s the former military in us. Richard also loves to work out, while I’m working on liking it. We both LOVE TO LAUGH!!! It eases the soul and makes life more bearable during tough times.’
Most romantic memory together: ‘the first time that I prepared Myla a meal. I drove to France to pick up some oxtail and when she came home from work, she was excited to see that I cooked.’
Most romantic memory together: ‘Richard and I would go to France and take walks often while we lived in Germany. I used to love sitting on a bench, people-watching, while he held me close.’
We couldn’t leave their suite without a mini Intimate Portraits session… LOVE.
