Today is Sunday, our long-awaited only day off all week. Two weeks of the Anand Prakash 500 hr yoga teacher training here in Rishikesh, India have flown by – and another 4 weeks to go. It feels we’ve long gotten used to ashram life and it’s so surreal to be working on this beautiful autumn Edmonton wedding, which we documented only a few weeks ago. Another world altogether! Uploading this post has been a meditative experience, hehe … because it takes oh-so-long in this small internet cafe overlooking the Ganga River (I promise I’ll show you the view next week! 🙂 A personal blog post about our adventures is coming – in the mean time, you’re welcome to check out what we’ve been up to on Instagram @katyanovaphoto.
Remember Megan & Jordon’s sweet summer Hawrelak Park engagement session? Their love story evolves – here’s their Big Day: a touching ceremony at La Cite Francophone and elegant reception at the Delta Edmotnon South Hotel.
Megan & Jordon are incredibly kind, sweet, generous, patient, and caring human beings. It’s an absolute joy to be around them, and being there for their wedding was so special to Rob & I.
Jordon chose to propose to Megan on his grandparents’ anniversary. It was a perfect surprise. After graduating from NAIT, Megan & Jordon went on a 6 week trip to Europe. While on a cruise through the Mediterranean, they made a stop in Athens, Greece and went for a long walk through the city. ‘Jordon wanted to go to the National Gardens but I was tired and just wanted to go back to the ship. Reluctantly, I agreed to go. We finally made it there and sat down on a bench in a secluded area. That’s where Jordon told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him!’
Huge thank you to their awesome wedding planner Sofia & her team at Awespiring Weddings! You ROCK!
Megan & Jordon – hope you guys feel our love ALL the way from India. xoxoxo
Megan & Jordon chose to do the First Look surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was such an incredible experience! (Legislative Grounds, downtown Edmonton).
