when it rains flower petals. {stacey & dom, vancouver, bc}.

* I miss Vancouver so much! Here’s a tribute to my favourite Canadian city… a blog post I’ve been saving!!

It was love at first touch.

They worked for the same company in different cities, Dom in Vancouver and Stacey in Toronto. Somehow, despite the distance, Dom often gave Stacey butterflies, as they exchanged ‘millions of emails through the company server.’

Glowing, Stacey recalls, “a few months later I flew out to meet him in the flesh… and the rest is history. It was love at first touch. We spent a couple of years emailing and texting and flying back and forth for crazy wild passionate weekends and eventually I packed up and moved across the country to be with the love of my life.”

There is an unmistakable devotion, appreciation, and preciousness to the way they hold each other’s presence.

I loooooooooved our romantic lifestyle session at Jericho and Kitsilano beach! Stacey and Dom made themselves right at home, surrounded by some sexy books, fabulous scotch, Dom’s collection of antique corkscrews and Vancouver’s beauty.

There’s a story to the cinnamon bun below. Apparently, Vancouver’s ‘Grounds for Coffee‘ (2565 Alma Street  Vancouver, BC V6R 3R8, Canada) makes the ‘world’s best, fresh, warm and gooey‘ cinnamon buns. Stacey & Dom treat themselves to these on EVERY road trip that starts before noon and lasts at least overnight (there have to be rules or they would indulge every day). I guess now they would have to add romantic photo sessions to the rules 🙂

Rob was gently shaking the branches above to make it rain fragrant petals!Wine & seashells at Kitsilano Beach…

Katya this makes me miss BC so much! You wouldn’t think a place can grow on you until it’s gone and left an empty hole in your heart 🙁
