Roman & Ksenia were so excited to learn that I indeed speak Russian. Over Skype from Moscow, they shared that they are counting down days till their Punta Cana elopement. Dominican Republic has become a very popular elopement / wedding destination for Eastern European couples – there are even a number of Russian wedding planning companies catering specifically to these. One of the best is Val’s Weddings – owned and operated by an awesome Russian-Canadian couple, Valerie & Mike. Since living in Punta Cana, this is the first Russian elopement we’ve photographed! I suspect there will be many more in the future 🙂 Naturally, you don’t have to be a Russian bride to hire Valerie & her team. They all speak English and do an amazing job creating dream weddings.
After the ceremony & photo session at Cap Cana’s beautiful Marina, we joined Roman & Ksenia for their private romantic yacht tour by St. Nicholas Charter (you might remember the yacht from Pavel & Marika‘s trip). It was such a fantastic time! We highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys being on the water – there’s nothing quite like it in Punta Cana. Without further ado, here’s how the day unfolded:
Roman & Ksenia arrive to Secret Beach, Cap Cana.
The ceremony was in Russian & was AMAZING! The most creative one I’ve ever heard!
Love these boat ruins.
Moving on to beautiful Marina beach…
Cap Cana charges $200 for photographing in this exclusive paradise. SO worth it.
Here’s Nicholas awaiting our arrival. Romantic yacht Punta Cana tour!
Well -deserved plunge into the ocean!
This is one of my faves! Ksenia is off to catch her wedding gown!
Another one of our faves…
