Danielle & Quenton met at the University of Alberta through the University’s varsity soccer teams (Quenton played with the Bears and Danielle played for the Pandas). She was a rookie and Quenton was in his third year. You know whom I have to thank for introducing Danielle to our work? My dad! They were acquaintances at work (Danielle is a Recreation Therapist and my dad is the best RN in the world). I know he talks about me a lot, but he gets a gold star for this one. 🙂
Quenton proposed to his love on their 5 year anniversary. He had secretly taken the afternoon off to come home and set up the for the proposal at home for Danielle as she came home from work. First, he set the mood with Danielle’s favourite Coldplay song looping in the background; next, he lined their staircase with 15 roses (1 for 1 year together, 2 for 2 years together, …, 5 for 5 years together). Along with the roses, Quenton had carefully placed photos of their favourite moments together along the stairs … and waited for his Beloved Danielle at the top. How sweet is that?!
We weren’t available to document their wedding day, but Danielle & Quenton woke up waaaaay before the break of dawn to meet the sunrise with us and celebrate their wedding with a Rock the Dress (trash the dress) session. Bavaro Beach (Los Corales) was all ours. It was absolutely magnificent.
A very special honourable mention goes out to Krystie Ann and the incredible job she did on Danielle’s hair & make-up, all well before sunrise. She is one of a kind.
Danielle & David – let the gentle loving ways you hold each other’s hearts define your marriage for always!!
We brought our little boombox so that Coldplay could murmur into their ears!
