Life is beautiful upside down, Linda would agree. Especially in loving arms and feet of her yogi extraordinaire, Cole!
I had a vision I really wanted to bring to life before leaving to Punta Cana, having seen some of Cole’s acro-yoga workshop photos on Facebook. Infinite are the ways in which human bodies can interact. When it comes to the physical plane, these interactions can become metaphors and doorways into facets of our relationships.
Will you catch me if I fall? Can I know you will be there for me when I lose my balance? Will you lift me up as I reach for the stars? I’m willing to bet that’s the inner dialogue of every man and woman in a relationship. It is also upon these questions that vows and promises are made, in marriage and beyond.
Rob and I have been exploring photographing couples in ways that would bring that inner dialogue to the surface, in ways that would nourish, reinforce and reignite the ‘flame of love’… Having recently become a yoga teacher, I’ve begun to discover so many parallels between living your yoga and being in a relationship, it’s quite remarkable. I’ll talk more about this in later posts – for now, here’s a special treat; two beautiful yogis, in love. On a deserted rooftop of a parking lot!
Sun still shining, skies darkened and cried HAIL! Long enough for us to run for cover into our cars 🙂 Edmonton weather is so unpredictable sometimes!
