Clarison’s grandmother babysat Jennifer and her good friend Maricel after school. That was back in Grade 2, when Clarison made Jen play goalie in their basement so that he could fire shots at her. Years later, Maricel and her fiancée suggested these two meet to see if something might be there. After a good laugh about their childhood days, Clarison promised to make it up to her for all those pucks by taking her out to dinner… So their love story began, over steak & salmon at Murietta’s in Edmonton.
The plan for the Proposal was to have Clarison’s family involved, and a spring trip to Banff seemed perfect, especially because Clarison’s sister was visiting from Dubai. On a side note, there’s one thing I have to tell you about this family – they LOVE taking pictures. So, on a bright Saturday morning, the entire family gathered for some fresh air & photos near Fairmont Banff Springs. Jen was asked to take the first family photo and didn’t think much of it. ‘When I looked through the lens, I realized everyone unzipped their jackets and each one had a letter on their shirt that spelled out “Will U Marry Me?” Clarison came over to her with the question mark in his hand and asked again, on bended knee.
We’ll always have really special memories of Jen & Clarison’s Melia Tropical Punta Cana wedding … not only because we celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary on their Big Day, but also because they treated us like family and made our time together so sweet and memorable. They are so loving, warm, funny, and caring!
Can’t wait to see your family grow, dear Ones!! Here’s your story, with love from the bottom of our hearts!
‘Jennifer is such a great listener, she comforts me. With her in my life, I have a good support system that gives me a better outlook on life and everything that comes with it.’
Clarison is ready for the ‘First Look’… it’s all starting to feel real, as the courtyard is filled with the sounds of ‘Unbelievable‘ by Craig David from our little boombox, their special song.
‘I appreciate the fact Clarison takes care of me. He always lets me into the garage first when we both come home at the same time. And he puts toothpaste on my toothbrush. He always matches and folds the black socks when we do laundry…’
Guilty pleasures: Clarison’s – ‘McDonalds and cars,’ Jennifer’s – ‘watching reality TV shows and ice cream cake.’
‘With Clarison in my life, this is finally how life is supposed to be like – happiness, moving forward, having roots, and being myself.’
Fabulous beachfront reception, Melia Tropical Punta Cana.
