Jenn & Ryan met during a Baltimore Kickball game. She came along with her roommate to cheer on a mutual friend. Immediately, Ryan noticed the new pretty face on the sidelines. Jenn recalls, ‘We didn’t really chat until the second week – but that night we stayed up talking… and I remember Ryan telling me that he could not wait to fall in love with me… From that point I was hooked!’

They are best friends. The kind that can rock out to guitar hero … or spend a night on the beaches of Puerto Rico with nothing but a towel. They know and love each other deeply without ever expecting the other to change. They are so kind, warm, giving. And of course, the little things (that are really the big things). ‘Some mornings when Ryan knows I have no gas, he will take my car and fill it up while I get ready for work – or leave the house in the freezing cold and rain just to pick up sushi I am craving.’

The proposal? ‘Stressful, but awesome,’says Ryan. Jenn says, chuckling, that it’s a long, strange & funny story that Ryan tells better – it happened on the last night of their romantic vacation in St. Maarten. ‘We had this dinky little car, and the jewelry store where I was haggling for a diamond price earlier than morning took forever to set the stone. I had to lie to Jenn twice so I could sneak out to pick it up, and she caught me both times and was so mad at me.   I was hoping we could do a really romantic sunset view… but she had sunburn and the mosquitos were eating her alive. I had a plan to go to a really fancy French restaurant in Grand Case, St. Maarten, but she wanted pizza.  When I finally proposed the ring fell out of the holder and when I opened it… it just looked like an empty box.  Her puzzled face made me so nervous I pretty much screwed everything up. It took her, roughly, 12 hours for all of it to kick in, and she woke me up in the middle of the night so excited. I couldn’t have asked for it to happen differently!’ I looooove that 🙂

Their Jellyfish wedding was absolutely perfect. I often get an overwhelming sense that I want to get married at Jellyfish again, but when we first walked into the restaurant and saw the decorations Mayte prepared for this wedding, I think I started to salivate! My favourite to date.

Jenn & Kirby – you two are such beautiful people, we absolutely adore you!!

Mayte, gracefully taking care of finishing touches.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better … there was a chandelier in the gazebo.

First Look to ‘Our Song’ by Taylor Swift.

Jenn is hiding upstairs as the guests arrive…
