Here’s a beautiful couple from New York and another fabulous Jellyfish Restaurant wedding here in Punta Cana. I really love the story of how they met – out of about a million cozy Manhattan lounges, they ended up at the same one, the One Little West 12. How great is the irony – they would find the one that night 🙂 Robert’s friend dared him to talk to a girl to test his ‘game’ – and Robert took this challenge seriously. He made his round around the lounge and proceeded to climb over couches to make his way to … Liz. She recalls, ‘I had my back to him but Ecenia, my partner in crime, was facing him and made sure to tell me that there was this CRAZY white guy approaching making bird signs! He clearly was trying to send signals to his co-workers that he was on the prey.’ Robert started gaining brownie points immediately and the rest is history!!
The proposal came during their trip to the romantic Culebra, Puerto Rico. I love how Liz tells the story through images on their wedding website – they even reenacted the magic moment on top of an old lighthouse with stunning views of Culebrita Island! Thanks to you guys, we’ve added this spot to our bucket list!
Their beautiful Jellyfish wedding was quite the party!! Rob & Liz had colourful ‘Kanye-style’ glasses for everyone to wear and a song for everyone to sing. Nothing could stump the loving vibes, dancing, and celebratory chanting ‘Rob & Liz’ – their friends & family were such a blast! I guess I’ll elaborate on that a little – grey clouds hung over us during the ceremony and the rain started pouring when we were halfway through family portraits… We knew this one wasn’t going to pass. After the first thunderstorm hour, the power went out for a whole two hours in the entire Bavaro area! This didn’t stop the party though, as the crowd kept singing, drinking and passing around baskets of bread. Liz & Rob were such troopers and didn’t let this stop them from having the best wedding they could imagine. When the light was back on again, everyone partied even harder! We lost a Canon Mark II to the thunderstorm that night, cheers little buddy 🙂
Here’s our stunning Liz arriving to Jellyfish Restaurant!

The storm is coming!
Mayte drives her car over to the restaurant entrance for some light…Everyone rejoices that the power is back, some dancing and an amazing fireshow follows!
The next morning, we meet at sunrise for a Rock the Dress session at El Cortecito / Bavaro beach… love love love!
