Heather & Matt’s love story started at Pizza Hut in Lindsay, Ontario, where Heather was a server and Matt was a cook. ‘He would make me personal pan pizza’s and hide them in the walk-in fridge so we wouldn’t have to pay for them haha,’ Heather remembers. She was the first to make a move and asked Matt out on a date (while he was getting changed in the restaurant basement). 🙂
After 12 years together, it was finally time for their magical wedding day at Jellyfish in Punta Cana – another one of Mayte’s last weddings there. It was absolutely perfect!
Heather & Matt – you are such sweethearts! Wishing you all the best … (also, Go Maple Leafs Go!) 🙂
Top three things Heather loves about Matt: ‘He is extremely hard working, has an amazing sense of humour (always knows how to make me smile) and is a fabulous cook.’
Top three things Matt loves about Heather: ‘She is honest, lets me do what I want, and is always happy to see me (she lights up my day).’
For the proposal, Matt took Heather out for a sushi dinner in Barrie, and then for a walk along the waterfront, where he proposed during sunset on a bench overlooking the lake.
Perfect day together, according to Matt: ‘going to a Leafs game on a Saturday night, some good food, and staying over in at a nice hotel in Toronto.’
Perfect day together, according to Heather: ‘going on an adventure somewhere new and spending the day relaxing and not worrying about anything.’
Heather’s favourite guilty pleasures: ‘eating chocolate or candy and watching sappy romantic movies.’
Matt’s favourite guilty pleasures: ‘Fudge or butter tarts… &*$% romantic movies! lol’
