France & Kyle always had a special connection… over the 16 years France was Kyle’s sister’s best friend. With Kyle being in the military, the timing was off and there was always something in the way, but they managed to keep a tender and close friendship. It wasn’t till 2008 that they flirted through some emails and planned a trip back home to Ontario for Christmas. They both knew it was a beginning of something remarkable.
Planning this wedding was bittersweet for France, as Kyle was to return from Afghanistan just before the wedding. That takes missing your fiancee to a whole other level.
Kyle still gives France butterflies. Their guilty pleasure is to snuggle in bed with coffee… when their sweet girls, Alexys & Madison, wake up – the laughter never ends. Lovers, parents, best friends – the chemistry and admiration between these two is palpable.
We loved this wedding – it made us miss our Edmonton friends!! We arrived at France’s bridal suite to find her sitting in the sink, finishing her make-up. ‘It’s always been my thing,’ France said, stretching out her hands to me with a big smile. I gotta try that sometime! Dreams Punta Cana was the perfect choice, with a touching gazebo ceremony and terrace dinner (although we got rained out!) Here are some of our favourite moments…

It was great to break up the day and have some fun pool time!
