This is fairy tale story of a gorgeous Ukrainian girl and her perfect Canadian guy, complete with a pair of timeless Jimmy Choo’s, much laughter, happy tears, and awesome wedding pictures 🙂 You may remember these two (and their charming dog Pippee) from our Canada Day Jasper engagement session – it was such a perfect afternoon. Time flew and here we were, witnessing a new beginning they both have been waiting for. This Calgary wedding was so fun and classy!
Olga’s stunning wedding gown is from Evalina Couture and the dress was by Evalina Schmidtke herself, a remarkably talented and beautiful designer.

Their traditional Ukrainian wedding ceremony took place at the St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Congregation 404 MEREDITH RD NE, T2E 3R6). What a beautiful church! I love this shot Rob took, these little ones are practically flying!Okay… here it comes. Rob is, apparently, still amused that it’s acceptable to do whatever it takes to get a unique perspective as a wedding photographer!On my way up the stairs to snap a few images of the ceremony from the balcony, I noticed this beautiful pane of stained glass. In Russian, it reads ‘the Great Princess Olga.’ Love.Passing by Tubby Dog in Calgary, a trendy hot dog stand with live music on 17th Ave.Off to Calgary’s Bear’s Den for the reception – the atmosphere, food, and wine were divine!
